First, we would like to welcome you to the ShareASale Network!
As a new Merchant, here are 5 things you can do now that will have a positive impact on your program and help steer you in the right direction:
1. Consider Affiliate Compliance. Take a moment to think about how you would like your Affiliates to promote your program and what methods you might want to restrict. All Affiliates operate under the ShareASale terms of use. In addition to that, Merchants can also implement a program agree which is the legal contract that Affiliates would need to adhere to specifically for your program.
My Account > Edit Settings. Once on this page, click the link which reads: “Click here to view or make a change to your Agreement”. This link is located just below the program bio and above the search keywords.
2. Upload Search Keywords. While on the Edit settings page, take a look at the text box for Search Keywords. Be sure to use up all 255 available characters to ensure that your program is included in Affiliate searches.
3. Impactful Reply Email. Also on the Edit Settings page, the automated reply emails are the first impression you are giving to Affiliates as they apply and are approved into your program. Be sure the approval email includes helpful tips and tools that the Affiliate can put to use right away (links to banners, site demographics, seasonality, best sellers, etc.).
4. Develop Creative inventory. Start uploading banners and text links to My Creatives > Add Creative. As you build your creative set, be sure to include a variety of sizes and concepts. For example, you could include product category banners along with basic logos. Also mix up the landing pages for the creatives so affiliates are able to drive traffic deeper into your site rather than just the homepage.
